Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs frozen potato and cheese pierogi
- 3 medium yellow onions
- ¾ cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp, chopped fresh dill
- 3 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp smoked paprika

Slice onions into thin half-moons. Heat 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium.

Add onions with a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring often, until deep golden, ~10 minutes.

Push onions to the side. Add remaining 2 tbsp butter, then slide in pierogi in a single layer.

Sear pierogi without moving for 3 minutes per side until golden and crispy at edges.

Toss pierogi with onions. Sprinkle paprika, then stir in dill and a pinch of black pepper.

Transfer to a plate and serve hot with sour cream on the side or dolloped on top.
