Ingredients
- 12 oz marlin fillet or steak, 12 oz
- 1 whole lime (juiced)
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 6 whole corn tortillas
- 1.5 cups red cabbage, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 whole jalapeño, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- 1
Pat marlin dry. Season generously with salt, pepper, and chili powder on both sides.
- 2
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, ~90 seconds.
- 3
Sear marlin 2 minutes per side without moving — edges should be opaque, center stays barely pink.
- 4
Squeeze lime juice over marlin. Let it rest 1 minute, then slice into bite-sized pieces.
- 5
Warm tortillas in the same skillet 20 seconds per side until pliable and lightly charred.
