Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 rounds pita bread
  • 2 rolls bread rolls

Instructions

    Mix flour with 0.5 tsp salt in a bowl, then add water and 1 tbsp oil. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.

    Knead the dough on a floured surface for 2 minutes until smooth. Let it rest 5 minutes.

    Divide dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each into a thin rope about 10 inches long.

    Arrange grissini on a sheet pan. Brush lightly with remaining oil, sprinkle salt. Add pita and rolls to the pan.

    Bake at 400°F for 10–12 minutes until grissini are golden and crisp, bread is warmed through.
