Ingredients

  • 24 sheets wonton wrappers
  • 4 oz ground pork
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp ginger, minced
  • 2 cups neutral oil for frying

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix ground pork, soy sauce, and ginger in a small bowl until combined.

  2. 2

Place 0.5 tsp filling in the center of a wonton wrapper. Wet two adjacent edges with water.

  3. 3

Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, pressing edges to seal tightly.

  4. 4

Bring two bottom corners together and pinch to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers.

  5. 5

Heat oil in a medium pot or wok to 350°F. If no thermometer, test with a wooden chopstick—steady bubbles should form.

  6. 6

Working in batches, slide wontons into hot oil. Fry 2–3 minutes per batch until golden and edges curl.

  7. 7

Remove wontons with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
