Ingredients

  • 12 count jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup tonkatsu sauce or Worcestershire + ketchup (2:1)
  • 2 cup neutral cooking oil

Instructions

    Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.

    Set up three shallow bowls: flour in the first, beaten egg in the second, panko in the third.

    Coat each shrimp in flour, then egg, then panko, pressing gently so it sticks.

    Heat oil in a heavy skillet to 350°F over medium-high heat, about 2 minutes.
