Ingredients
- 2 ears fresh corn on the cob
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh herbs (cilantro or parsley, chopped)
Instructions
- 1
Stand corn upright on a cutting board. Slice down along the cob, turning as you go, to create long flat planks.
- 2
Pat the corn planks dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- 3
Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it foams, about 1 minute.
- 4
Arrange corn ribs in a single layer. Cook 3–4 minutes without moving until the bottom is golden brown.
- 5
Flip and cook the other side 3–4 minutes until tender when pierced with a fork and edges are caramelized.

Transfer to a plate. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs. Serve immediately.
