Ingredients

  • 8 oz shredded phyllo (kataifi)
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella, shredded
  • ½ cup ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 whole lemon (juiced)

Instructions

    Heat oven to 375°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment or foil.

    Toss shredded phyllo with melted butter until evenly coated, then spread on the sheet pan in a thin, even layer.

    Mix mozzarella and ricotta in a bowl, then dollop spoonfuls across the phyllo and gently press them in.

    Bake until the phyllo is deep golden and edges curl, 8–10 minutes. Watch closely so it doesn't char.

    While it bakes, warm honey with lemon juice in a small saucepan over low heat, about 2 minutes.

    Remove konafa from oven. Pour honey syrup over it immediately. Let cool 2 minutes, then serve warm or at room temperature.
