Ingredients
- ¾ lb ground beef
- 1.5 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- ¾ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup tortilla chips (or fried tortilla strips)
- 1 whole jalapeño, sliced
- 1 whole lime
- ¼ cup crema or sour cream

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Once shimmering, add ground beef and break apart with a spoon.

Cook beef, stirring occasionally, until no pink remains and edges are lightly browned, 5–6 minutes.

Add chili powder and cumin. Stir until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Divide chopped romaine between two bowls. Top each with half the warm seasoned beef.
