Ingredients

  • 3 strips bacon strips
  • 1 whole bagel, split
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 slice cheddar or American cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

    Cook bacon in a skillet over medium-high until crispy and edges curl, ~5 minutes.

    Transfer bacon to a paper towel. Reduce heat to medium and crack the egg into the same skillet.

    Fry egg until whites set but yolk still jiggles, ~3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

    Toast bagel halves in the skillet or toaster until golden and crispy on the cut side.

    Spread butter on the bottom bagel half. Layer with bacon, then the fried egg, then cheese.

    Top with the toasted bagel half. Serve immediately while the yolk is still warm.
