Ingredients

  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella ball or string cheese
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 whole egg
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups shredded carrot and cabbage (coleslaw mix)
  • ½ cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. 1

Cut mozzarella into 8 sticks about 2.5 inches long. Pat each with a paper towel until dry.

  2. 2

Set up three bowls: flour in one, beaten egg in another, panko mixed with a pinch of salt in the third.

  3. 3

Coat each mozzarella stick in flour, then egg, then panko, pressing gently so it adheres. Place on a plate.

  4. 4

Air fry at 380°F for 6 minutes. Mozzarella should be golden brown and cheese just barely visible at the edges.

  5. 5

Toss the shredded vegetables with 1 tbsp olive oil and a pinch of salt. Serve alongside the hot mozzarella sticks.

  6. 6

Serve the mozzarella sticks immediately with marinara for dipping.
