- 3 cups water
- ½ cup small tapioca pearls (instant or quick-cook)
- 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt

Bring water to a rolling boil in a medium pot over high heat.

Stir in tapioca pearls and reduce heat to medium. Cook, stirring occasionally, until pearls turn translucent, about 5 minutes.
