Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread or ciabatta
- 1 lb Roma tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic cloves
- ¼ cup fresh basil
- 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 to taste salt and black pepper

Slice bread diagonally into 0.5-inch-thick pieces.

Dice tomatoes into 0.5-inch pieces. Discard excess liquid.

Mince garlic. Tear basil into small pieces.

Arrange bread on a baking sheet. Broil 3-4 inches from heat until golden, ~2 minutes per side.

Rub warm toast with cut garlic clove on both sides.
