Ingredients
- 1 lb raclette cheese, sliced into 3-inch squares
- 1.5 lbs waxy potatoes (fingerling or baby gold)
- 1 loaf crusty bread (baguette or country loaf)
- ½ cup pickled cornichons or small pickles
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper

Cut potatoes into 2-inch chunks. Place in a large pot and cover with cold salted water.

Bring to a boil and cook uncovered until potatoes are fork-tender, 12–15 minutes.

Slice bread into 0.5-inch-thick pieces. Arrange on a cutting board or in a bread basket.

Place raclette cheese slices in a raclette grill, skillet, or broiler pan and heat until melted and bubbly, 3–4 minutes.
