Ingredients
- 1.5 cans (15 oz each) canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- ¼ cup tahini
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons water
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Add chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic to a food processor.

Pulse until roughly combined, about 30 seconds.

Drizzle in olive oil and water while blending until smooth and creamy, 2–3 minutes.

Add salt, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Blend for 30 more seconds until fully incorporated.

Taste and adjust seasonings. Transfer to a serving bowl.

Drizzle with additional olive oil and garnish with paprika and fresh parsley if desired. Serve with pita bread or vegetables.
