Ingredients
- ½ lb ground beef (80/20)
- 4 strips bacon strips
- 2 slices cheddar cheese slices
- 2 buns hamburger buns
- 2 leaves lettuce leaves
- ½ medium tomato
- ¼ small red onion
- 4 slices dill pickle slices
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Slice tomato and onion into rings. Wash and separate lettuce leaves.
- 2
Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8 minutes. Transfer to paper towels and crumble or leave whole.
- 3
Divide ground beef into 2 equal portions and gently form into patties about 0.75-inch thick. Make a small indent in the center with your thumb.
- 4
Season both sides of patties generously with salt and pepper.
- 5
Heat the same skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on first side without pressing.
- 6
Flip patties, immediately top each with a cheese slice. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until cheese melts and internal temp reaches 160°F.
- 7
Lightly toast buns in the skillet or toaster until golden.
- 8
Spread mayonnaise on top bun and ketchup-mustard mixture on bottom bun.
- 9
Layer lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on bottom bun. Place cooked patty with cheese on top.
- 10
Add bacon on top of patty, close with top bun, and serve immediately.
