Ingredients

  • 6 sheets phyllo dough sheets
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup chocolate sauce (store-bought or melted chocolate)
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought)
  • 2 cups neutral oil for frying

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix cinnamon and sugar in a shallow bowl. Set aside.

  2. 2

Stack phyllo sheets and brush each lightly with melted butter.

  3. 3

Cut phyllo stack into 2-inch squares. Crumple each square into a loose ball.

  4. 4

Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high until a phyllo piece sizzles immediately on contact, ~2 minutes.

  5. 5

Fry phyllo balls in batches 60 seconds per side until golden brown and crispy. Don't crowd the pan.

  6. 6

Drain on paper towels, then toss in cinnamon sugar while still warm.

  7. 7

Serve hot with chocolate and caramel dips on the side.
