Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup walnuts

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two 9 inch round cake pans. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package directions using the eggs, oil, and water. Divide batter evenly between pans.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

In a chilled bowl, whip the 1 cup heavy cream until stiff peaks form, about 3-4 minutes. Chop the 0.5 cup walnuts into small pieces.

Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread half of the whipped cream over the top. Sprinkle with half of the chopped walnuts. Top with the second cake layer.

Spread the remaining whipped cream over the top of the cake and sprinkle with the remaining walnuts. Slice and serve.
