Ingredients

  • 2 whole store-bought croissants
  • 2 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch fleur de sel or flaky sea salt
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. 1

Split each croissant horizontally, being careful not to tear the sides. Divide chocolate evenly between the four halves.

  2. 2

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Once foaming, place the four croissant halves chocolate-side up in the pan.

  3. 3

Cook for 2-3 minutes without moving until the bottom is golden and the chocolate starts to soften.

  4. 4

Transfer to a plate. Sprinkle with fleur de sel, then dust with powdered sugar.

  5. 5

Serve immediately while the chocolate is still warm and melted.
