Ingredients

  • 2 whole ripe bananas
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • ½ cup crispy rice cereal
  • 2 tbsp honey or dulce de leche (optional)
  • ⅛ tsp sea salt

    Peel the bananas and cut each in half crosswise, then cut each piece lengthwise into 4 thin sticks.

    Combine chocolate chips and coconut oil in a shallow bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring, until smooth and pourable.

    Pour crispy rice cereal into another shallow bowl. Crush it lightly with your fingers to half its original size.

    Roll each banana stick in the melted chocolate, coating all sides. Let excess drip off.

    Roll the chocolate-coated banana immediately in the crushed cereal, pressing gently so it sticks.

    Place on a parchment-lined plate and freeze 5 minutes until the chocolate is set. Drizzle with honey and a pinch of salt. Serve cold.
