Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ⅓ cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ cup dark chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 tsp baking soda

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch loaf pan and line with parchment.

    Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.

    In another bowl, whisk melted butter, sugar, and eggs until pale, ~2 minutes.

    Stir mashed bananas into the butter mixture until just combined.

    Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture in two additions until barely blended.

    Fold in chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.

    Bake 45–50 minutes until a toothpick in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
