Ingredients

  • 1 lb store-bought pizza dough (1 lb, room temperature)
  • 1.5 cups crumbled feta cheese
  • 3 tbsp fresh dill (or parsley), chopped
  • ½ medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 4 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 whole egg yolk (for wash)

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment and brush lightly with olive oil.

  2. 2

Divide dough in half. Shape each half into a 6-inch oval, then gently stretch into a boat shape with raised edges.

  3. 3

Mix feta, dill, red onion, and black pepper in a bowl. Divide filling between the two boats, piling it in the center.

  4. 4

Brush the dough edges with egg yolk mixed with 1 tbsp water. Drizzle the filling with remaining olive oil.

  5. 5

Bake until the dough is golden brown and crispy on the bottom, 15–18 minutes. Edges should be deep golden.

  6. 6

Let cool 2 minutes. Serve hot, optionally with a squeeze of lemon or extra dill.
