Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 1.5 lb beef sirloin or ribeye, cubed
  • 2 stalk scallions, sliced

Instructions

  1. 1

Whisk gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, and garlic in a bowl until smooth.

  2. 2

Toss beef cubes with the marinade, coating evenly. Let sit for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

Thread beef onto skewers, leaving space between pieces so they char, not steam.

  4. 4

Heat a cast iron skillet or grill pan over high heat until it smokes, about 2 minutes.

  5. 5

Sear skewers without moving, 2 minutes per side, until edges are blackened and centers stay pink.

  6. 6

Transfer to a plate, scatter scallions on top, and serve immediately.

Tools you’ll need
