- ¾ cup whole milk, warm
- 4 tbsp butter, divided
- ½ cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- ½ tsp instant yeast

Mix flour, warm milk, 2 tbsp butter, 1/4 cup sugar, cardamom, yeast, and a pinch of salt in a bowl until shaggy dough forms.

Knead dough by hand for 3 minutes until smooth and elastic, adding flour if too wet.

Roll dough into a 12-inch rope, then coil it tightly and flatten into a rough disk.

Heat remaining 2 tbsp butter in a 10-inch skillet over medium until foaming. Slide dough disk into the pan.
