Ingredients
- 1 lb store-bought pizza or bread dough
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ¾ tsp ground cardamom
- 1 whole egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp pearl sugar or coarse sanding sugar

Heat oven to 425°F. Mix softened butter, sugar, and cardamom in a small bowl until fragrant.

Divide dough in half. Roll each half into a 12-inch rope, then twist the two ropes together into a braid.

Coil the braid into a spiral on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Brush with beaten egg.
