Ingredients
- 3 whole, ripe but firm bananas
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 whole egg yolks
- 4 tbsp, divided granulated sugar
- 8 whole, halved strawberries
- 1 cup blackberries

Heat cream in a skillet over medium until small bubbles form around the edges, ~3 minutes.
- 2
Whisk egg yolks with 2 tbsp sugar until pale, ~2 minutes. Slowly add warm cream while whisking constantly.
- 3
Return mixture to skillet over low heat. Stir gently until it coats the back of a spoon, 4–5 minutes. Do not boil.
- 4
Pour custard into four shallow bowls or glasses. Divide banana slices among them. Let cool 2 minutes.
