Ingredients

  • ½ lb beef brisket, sliced 1/4-inch thick
  • ½ lb fresh egg noodles or chow mein noodles
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 clove garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 stalk scallions, chopped

Instructions

    Bring a large pot of water to boil. Add noodles and cook until tender, ~4 minutes. Drain and set aside.

    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high until shimmering. Sear beef slices 60 seconds per side without moving.

    Add minced garlic and stir until fragrant, ~30 seconds.

    Pour in 1 cup water, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Simmer 5 minutes until broth thickens slightly.

    Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat with broth, ~1 minute.

    Divide noodles between bowls. Spoon beef and broth over top. Garnish with scallions and serve immediately.
