Ingredients
- 4 slices bread (sourdough or rye)
- 3 oz brunost (Norwegian brown cheese)
- 1 whole apple (crisp, tart)
- 1 tbsp honey
- ½ tbsp butter
- 1 pinch sea salt flakes

Toast bread until golden brown and crisp, 2–3 minutes per side.

While toast is warm, slice brunost thin and lay on top. It will soften from residual heat.

Slice the apple crosswise into thin rings, discarding the core.
