- 1 tbsp instant yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ¾ cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil

In a large bowl, mix 2 cups flour, 1 tbsp yeast, 1 tbsp sugar, and 1 tsp salt. Add 0.75 cup warm water and 2 tbsp olive oil; stir until a shaggy dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.

Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 10-inch rope. Braid three ropes together, pinching the ends to seal. Repeat with the remaining ropes to make 2 braids.

Place the braids on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Let rise for 10 minutes while you preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
