Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1.75 cups whole milk
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

    Preheat Belgian waffle maker for 5 minutes until hot.

    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

    In another bowl, beat eggs, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.

    Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Batter will be slightly lumpy.

    Lightly brush waffle maker with butter or cooking spray.

    Pour 0.75 cup batter into center of hot waffle maker and close lid.

    Cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a fork and place on serving plate.

    Repeat with remaining batter.
