Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken drumsticks and thighs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

    Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on all sides.

    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 1 minute.

    Place chicken skin-side down in the pan. Sear 5 minutes without moving until skin crisps and turns golden.

    Flip chicken, then stir minced garlic and paprika into BBQ sauce and pour it over the pieces.

    Reduce heat to medium. Simmer 8–10 minutes, turning chicken once, until the sauce coats the meat and legs are cooked through.
