Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) canned black beans, drained
  • 1 can (10 oz) canned diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • 2 tbsp chili powder

Instructions

    Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat, breaking it apart with a spoon, until no pink remains, about 6 minutes.

    Stir in BBQ sauce, beef broth, chili powder, and the can of tomatoes with their liquid.

    Add both cans of drained black beans and stir to combine.

    Bring to a simmer and cook uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until flavors meld.

    Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

    Serve hot in bowls, topped with your choice of sour cream, diced onion, or jalapeños if desired.
