Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 racks baby back pork rib racks
  • 2 cups bbq sauce
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. 1

Remove the membrane from the back of the rib racks by sliding a knife under it and peeling it away.

  2. 2

Mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.

  3. 3

Rub the spice mixture evenly on both sides of the rib racks, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. 4

Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C). Line a large roasting pan with foil.

  5. 5

Place rib racks bone-side down on the prepared pan. Cover tightly with foil.

  6. 6

Bake for 2.5 hours until ribs are tender and meat pulls back from the bones.

  7. 7

Mix bbq sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey in a bowl.

  8. 8

Remove foil from ribs and brush generously with the bbq glaze.

  9. 9

Return to oven uncovered for 20-30 minutes until the glaze is caramelized and sticky.

  10. 10

Remove ribs from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.

  11. 11

Cut between bones and transfer to a serving platter. Serve hot with extra bbq sauce on the side.
