Ingredients
- 1 round (8 oz) Camembert cheese (in wooden box)
- 1 loaf bread (baguette or sourdough)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove any plastic wrapping from the Camembert, but keep it in its wooden box. Place the box on a baking sheet.
- 2
Score the top of the cheese in a crosshatch pattern, about 1/4 inch deep. Drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil.
- 3
Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is soft and molten in the center—gently press the top; it should feel very soft and slightly jiggle.
- 4
Meanwhile, slice the bread into 1/2-inch thick slices. Arrange on a plate with the lettuce leaves.
- 5
Carefully transfer the hot cheese to a serving plate. Sprinkle with 2 tbsp chopped parsley and serve immediately with the bread for dipping.
