Ingredients

  • 2 medium crisp apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), cored
  • ¾ cup sharp cheddar or gruyere, shredded
  • ½ cup toasted pecans or almonds, chopped
  • ⅓ cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch fleur de sel or flake salt
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. 1

Slice apples into 1/4-inch-thick rounds. Arrange on a baking sheet in a single layer.

  2. 2

Divide shredded cheese evenly over apple slices. Heat broiler to high.

  4. 4

Warm caramel sauce with butter in a small skillet over low heat, 1 minute.

  5. 5

Stir in cinnamon and vanilla extract until fragrant.

  6. 6

Remove nachos from broiler. Scatter nuts over melted cheese.

  7. 7

Drizzle caramel sauce over nachos. Finish with a pinch of fleur de sel.
