Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 whole egg
- 9 sheets lasagna noodles
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pinch salt and black pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 375°F. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions until al dente.

Drain noodles and lay flat on parchment. In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, parmesan, and half the mozzarella.

Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high, breaking up with a spoon, ~6 minutes.

Add minced garlic, cook 30 seconds until fragrant, then stir in marinara sauce.

Simmer meat sauce 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Spread thin layer of meat sauce on bottom of 9x13 baking dish.

Layer 3 noodles, then half the ricotta mixture, then one-third of remaining sauce. Repeat layers.

Top with final 3 noodles, remaining sauce, and reserved mozzarella.

Cover with foil and bake 20 minutes. Uncover, bake until cheese is melted and edges bubble, ~10 minutes.
