Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups almond flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 large egg whites
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • ½ cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a bowl, stir together 1.5 cups almond flour, 0.75 cup sugar, 2 egg whites, and 0.5 teaspoon almond extract until a sticky dough forms.

  3. 3

Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough and roll into balls. Roll each ball in 0.5 cup sliced almonds to coat, then place on prepared sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.

  4. 4

Bake until golden and set, about 12-15 minutes. Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  5. 5

Optional: drizzle with melted chocolate or dust with powdered sugar before serving.
