Ingredients

  • 2 slices white or wheat bread
  • 2 slices cheddar or American cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 0.1 teaspoon black pepper

    Set the air fryer to 375°F and wait until the indicator light or beep signals it has finished preheating, about 3 minutes.

    Spread 0.5 tablespoon of softened butter on one side of each bread slice using a butter knife, coating the surface evenly.

    Place one slice butter-side down on the cutting board, then lay both cheese slices flat on top of it.

    Place the second bread slice on top, butter-side up, pressing down gently so the sandwich holds together.

    Sprinkle the top with a pinch of salt and pepper, then place the sandwich in the air fryer basket.

    Cook at 375°F for 5 minutes until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted inside when you gently squeeze the sandwich.
