Ingredients

  • ½ cup frozen açaí berries (or mixed frozen berries)
  • 1 medium frozen banana, sliced
  • ½ cup plain whole milk yogurt
  • ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey
  • ½ cup granola (preferably clusters)
  • ⅓ cup fresh blueberries
  • ⅓ cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 3 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoon raw almonds, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. 1

Add 0.5 cup frozen açaí berries (or mixed frozen berries), 1 medium frozen banana that you've sliced, 0.5 cup plain whole milk yogurt, 0.25 cup unsweetened almond milk, and 1 tablespoon raw honey to a blender. Blend on medium-high speed for 45–60 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides once if needed. You want a thick, spoonable consistency that holds its shape but isn't completely solid—it should flow slowly from the spatula, not liquefy like a drinkable smoothie.

  2. 2

Pour the smoothie into a wide, shallow bowl—a cereal or soup bowl works perfectly. The base should come up about halfway, creating a stable surface for toppings.

  3. 3

Working quickly so the base doesn't melt, scatter 0.5 cup granola clusters over the center and edges of the bowl. Add 0.33 cup fresh blueberries and 0.33 cup sliced fresh strawberries in clusters around the bowl for visual appeal and easy eating.

  4. 4

Sprinkle 3 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut and 2 tablespoons roughly chopped raw almonds over the top. Leave some base visible so the creamy part is visible when served.

  5. 5

Serve immediately with a spoon. Eat right away while the smoothie base is still cold and the granola is still crispy—waiting more than a few minutes will soften the toppings.
