Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (or chunks)

Instructions

    Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat, swirling often, until nutty brown, ~6 minutes. Pour into a bowl and let cool 2 minutes.

    Whisk brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla into the browned butter until combined.
