Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cups canned hominy, drained (2 cans, 15 oz each)
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp red chile powder (or chili powder)
- 1 whole jalapeño, sliced
- ½ whole lime (juiced)

Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high. Brown ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, ~5 minutes.

Pour in broth and stir in chile powder until no lumps remain, ~30 seconds.

Add hominy and bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium. Simmer 8 minutes.

Squeeze lime juice into the pot. Taste and adjust salt and pepper.
