Ingredients

  • 20 frozen dumplings (pork, chicken, or vegetable)
  • 6 cups water (for boiling)
  • 3 tbsp chili oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. 1

Place a medium-sized pot on the stove and fill with 6 cups of water.

  2. 2

Turn the heat to high and bring the water to a rolling boil.

  3. 3

Carefully place the 20 frozen dumplings into the boiling water.

  4. 4

Stir gently with a spoon to prevent the dumplings from sticking to the bottom.

  5. 5

Cook the dumplings for 5–6 minutes until they float to the top.

  6. 6

Remove the dumplings using a slotted spoon and place them into a bowl.

  7. 7

In a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons chili oil, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon rice vinegar.

  8. 8

Add 1 teaspoon sesame oil and 1 teaspoon sugar to the bowl.

  9. 9

Stir thoroughly until the sugar dissolves and the sauce is evenly mixed.

  10. 10

Pour the chili oil sauce over the cooked dumplings.

  11. 11

Gently toss the dumplings so each one is coated with the sauce.

  12. 12

Sprinkle 2 teaspoons sesame seeds evenly over the dumplings.

  13. 13

Add finely chopped green onions across the top.

  14. 14

Arrange the dumplings neatly in a bowl and serve immediately while hot.
